Makenaizo Elephants came to join for the first time the ‘ICA meeting’, at Moneystown in Wicklow Co.!!
Sachiko Tanaka introduced Makenaizo Elephants to Moneystown Guild members, explaining how much moral support is needed in the northern Japan, for dozens’ of thousands people who lost home, work, family.
Moneystown ladies are sending their smile and warm heart to ‘Elephant making people”.
The ICA (Irish Contrywomen’s Association), founded in 1910, is the largest membership organisation of women in Ireland. The local guilds are at the heart of community life, keeping traditions and heritage alive and relevant while offering support, friendship, personal development and life-long learning to its members.
Kobe Organisation in Japan which is taking care of Makenaizô Elephants mentions often Mother Teresa’s words:
Don’t look for big things, just do small things with great love….The smaller the thing, the greater must be our love.
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
Small group in Moneystown who received these very small elephants… Your smily faces will reach as a small gift to Japan.

アイルランドのモネストン村の女のひとの会合に初めて参加して、まけないぞうを紹介しました。
アイルランドは伝統的に、牧畜や農業が中心の国です。ひいおばあさんや おばあさんの世代は、家の仕事をしていると、なかなか他の女のひとたちと出会う機会もなく、寂しい思いをしていた人もたくさんあったそうです。そこで、１９１０年（明治４３年）に女のひとたちが互いに助け合ったり情報を交換したりするため、「アイルランド女性連合会」という団体を作りました。いまでも、全国の支部が活発に活動をしています。モネスタウンの支部（ギルド）でも、楽しみに１ヶ月に一度は集まって、いろんな話をしたり、お茶を飲んだりしています。
「被災地の作り手さんたちが毎日いっしょうけんめい、ちくちくしておられるのですよ」と話したら、みなさん とても喜んで、笑顔の写真をお届けして、元気を出してもらいたいと、みんな並んで写真におさまりました。最年長のおばあちゃまは８２歳です。
「かわいいぞうさん、モネスタウンへ やってきましたよ☆ かわいいぞうさん ありがとう！」
まけないぞうさんが、また笑顔を運んでくれました。
