昨年7月に”まけないぞう”に出会った私のアメリカの甥のマイケルとダニエル (=ホストシスター デビーの息子達)と友人のジョーがアメリカの災害復興支援団体のボランティアとして１カ月間の東北での支援活動参加を希望し、まけないぞうと共に1月19日成田に到着しました。
現在、宮城県塩竃市で活動中です。
昨年夏に私と共にアメリカに渡った神戸生まれのまけないぞうさん。
半年の時を経て、阪神淡路大震災から17年目の今年、アメリカの若者達を日本の被災地に導いてくれたような想いがして胸がいっぱいです。
マイケル、ダニエル、ジョー、ほんとうにありがとう！

My American nephews, Michael and Daniel who are my dear Host sister, Debby’s sons arrived at Narita Airport with their close friend, Joe on Jan. 19 to go to Shiogama-shi with the American Volunteer Organization to help with reconstruction of the areas that are in need of volunteers.
I’m so much touched and excited about the fact that they’ve decided to work as volunteers in Japan!
They flew from the US together with their Never give up elephants!
I’m praying for the safety of these 3 wonderful American young men while doing their volunteer work in Northeastern Japan for 1 month!
Good luck & Lot of Arigato to Michael, Daniel and Joe!!! Your Japanese Aunt is so proud of you all!
来日２日目の１月２０日、マイケル、ダニエル、ジョーは成田から東京駅経由で仙台に向かいました！
これから１ヶ月間、彼らが東北地方で元気に充実した支援活動が出来ますように！
On their 2nd day in Japan, Michael, Daniel and Joe moved from Narita to Sendai via Tokyo Station! Wishing them all the best in their volunteer work in Northeastern part of Japan for the next 1 month!

３人とも現地の皆さんにも馴染み、大雪の中 元気に住宅建築の現場での手伝いやどろ出しのサポートをしているそうです。
